The third meeting of the project partners in Haparanda

For the beginning of the third meeting of the project partners, Gabrielė Dambauskaitė and Rima Beitnarienė made a presentation on Alytus music school. The principal of Svefi , Svefi's teachers and students watched a movie about Alytus city and Lithuania. They were also introduced to a handbook "Tell trough music" method as a tool the development of core competences of adult learners". This handbook was created in 2017 during an Erasmus project, where the Music school, as a project coordinator, worked together with partners from Cyprus, Greece, Poland and a Third Age University of Lithuania.

Project participants took part in an interesting, artistic activity with Svefi students. Everyone had to create a painting, relevant to the painting "Sunflowers" by Vincent van Gogh. It was interesting to mix colors and create artistic touches. Project members from Alytus together with teachers and students with special needs from Svefi had a focus group discussion. They have discussed cultural similarities and differences, the means of cultural heritage in today's life, the aims of the project, as well as its goals.

Afterwards there was a tour around Haparanda and Tornio. The guide for this tour was Stefan Fredriksson. Project participants visited famous places of those cities. After the tour everyone gone to an activity of ceramics, which was carried out by Lotta Leinonen. This professional ceramic taught everyone the secrets of ceramics. The participants were creating bowls and plates, and learned to decorate them.
